📚 Alabama Literacy Act
Alabama Literacy Act ensures students are reading on grade level by the end of third grade. At Jackson-Steele Elementary, we provide structured reading instruction, early screening, and targeted support for students who need it. Students must show reading proficiency for promotion to fourth grade.

The Alabama Numeracy Act strengthens mathematics instruction in kindergarten through fifth grade by ensuring high-quality, evidence-based math teaching, early identification of learning gaps, and targeted intervention for students who need additional support.
